


Golf Rules
- The AEPTA is an 18-hole course.
- Caddies auth by the Executive Committee will have a name plate/coloured jacket showing whether he is a caddie or a ball boy. Members may employ them accordingly. They should be paid only auth remuneration as displayed on the notice board. Any payment over and above auth remuneration shall be viewed as an infringement of the AEPTA rules, and may attract suitable action against the defaulters. No private caddies will be permitted in the AEPTA.
- Members are requested not tip or pay extra money to any caddie or employee of the course. Members desirous of giving tips are requested to put the amount in the box meant for the welfare of the caddies/staff placed at the Caddie Hut. The box will be opened on first Monday of every month in presence of Hony Secy and the amount will be deposited in AEPTA Fund (Caddie Welfare).
- Each player must have his own independent bag. Players sharing a bag will not be allowed to play.
- Children under 08 yrs are not allowed on the course, except promising golfers with handicap 9 and below. Spectators are not allowed to use the course. Even one stroke played shall make him or her liable to pay green fees.
- No spectators shall walk on the play area (Greens, Tees & Fairways
- Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the course.
- The play will start from Tee No 1 and 10 only. On weekdays first come first play will be followed. However on weekends/holidays the play will be as per the online booking.
- Priority Tee off and right of way rests with The Patron-in-Chief, The Patron, Chairman, The Captain of the Course and Honorary Secretary. The priority tee off and right of way will be applicable for all ex Patrons, Chairman and Capt of the Course.
- All instructions of the staff on duty must be complied with by the members. Complaints, if any, may be made to the Honorary Secretary later on. The decision of the management shall be final.
- Members are requested to play fast, replace divots, repair pitch marks on the greens and smoothen bunkers. They should see that their caddie carries the bag filled with earth and sand, and fills in/replaces divots. Non compliance will result in imposing a fine of Rs 200/- on detection, and repetition of the same will invite stern action from the management. Members pulling their own trolleys must carry a bag filled with earth and sand for repair of divots.
- A player is required to leave the green immediately after putting, and ensure that the flagstick is properly placed in the hole.
- Timing laid down for 9/18 holes play must be adhered to. Slow players will, without question, give pass to the players following, as soon as more than one clear hole is available.
- Practice is allowed in the practice area and not on the course. No chipping practice is permitted on the putting greens. Players should avoid taking divots with practice swings.
- Nobody is allowed to enter the ponds. Caddies will not be asked to recover balls falling into the ponds (near hole Nos 9,10,13,14,15 and 17) when filled with water.
- Members who do not have a handicap from a recognized club are required to get their handicap approved by the handicapping committee before taking part in any competition on the course.
- It is mandatory to return the score card whenever a member plays a round. Non return of score cards, duly marked and signed by the marker and the member, will result in reduction to two strokes in the handicap of the member. Non submission of score cards for three months will lead to lapse of a member’s handicap.
- Any member infringing any of the rules and byelaws is liable to have his or her membership terminated.
- Members, during their play, if found violating the golf etiquettes repeatedly, necessary disciplinary action will be taken by the management and erring members will be suspended immediately on detection. No representation or excuses will be accepted, as the onus of keeping the course in its normal shape lies with each playing member, and not with the caddie. Members must therefore ensure the following (violators will be fined Rs 200/- each including their caddies)
- (i) Replace divots. (ii) Repair pitch marks on the greens. (iii) Smoothen footmarks in bunkers.
