


Types of Membership and Membership Fee
General. Provisions have been made to make available the facility and allied services through different categories of membership, to maximum eligible personnel and their family members.
Serving Army Officers.
(a) Serving Army Officers (In Station). Serving Army Officers (In Station Officers) posted in Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida/G.Noida//Faridabad/Ghaziabad will be given temporary membership (Full week) on clearing their Golf Aptitude Test. The membership will be given for five years and renewed for five years at a time on request from members.

(b) Serving Army Officers (Out Station). Out station membership is divided into two categories :-
(i) Converted Out-Station Membership. Army Serving/retired members of AEPTA who take membership during their tenure in Delhi/NCR and are posted out are eligible for converted Out-Station Membership on written request. The subscription of Out-Station membership will be applicable to them on change of status of the membership.
(ii) Direct Out-Station Membership. Army Serving Officers who are posted to stations other than Delhi/NCR cities are eligible for Direct Out-Station Membership of AEPTA. They will have to submit proof of their membership of any other golf course of the Indian Army alongwith handicap certificate (Min -18). However, the Direct Out-Station Membership will cease to be member when posted to Delhi/NCR cities and will have no priority right for In-Station Membership. They will be required to appear in golfing aptitude assessment test and clear the same for continuation of their membership. On passing the golf aptitude test they will become in-station members. In case Direct Out-station member retiring from service and after retirement stationed at Delhi/NCR can apply afresh for membership alongwith a copy of Pension Payment Order (PPO), Proof of residence, two photographs in civil dress, old membership card and will be required to appear in golf aptitude assessment and clear the same.
(c) Serving Offrs posted to Stations other than Delhi & NCR but have permanent residence address of Delhi & NCR/families staying in SF accn in Delhi can apply for in station membership. They will have to pass the golf aptitude test.
The Terms and Conditions of “Direct Out-station (Non Playing) membership” are as under:-
(a) The offrs applying for direct outstation membership should be golfers and member of any other Army Golf Course.
(b) They will submit have to proof of membership and handicap certificate along with the application.
(c) They should have a min handicap of 18.
(d) Whenever and if a direct outstation member applies for in-station membership, they are required to appear in the golf aptitude test.

Retired Army Officers
Officer having domicile of Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida/G. Noida Faridabad/Ghaziabad will be given Temporary Membership based on the Golf Aptitude Test (Full-Week). Out-station retired officers will also be considered for Direct Out-Station Membership. This membership would be valid for five years subject to being renewed. PPO, photo in civil and proof of domicile is a mandatory requirement. Direct Out-Station Membership will cease to be member if they move to Delhi/NCR cities and will have no priority right for In-Station Members and will be required to appear in golfing aptitude assessment and clear the same.
Retired Army Short Service Officers. Retd SS Offrs with minimum five (05) yrs of service may be considered for membership under retd category and will be required to appear in golf aptitude assessment and clear the same.

Premature/Resigned Army Offrs. Prematurely Retd and resigned Army regular offrs will be considered for membership of AEPTA in retd Army Offrs cat and will be required to appear in golf aptitude assessment test and clear the same..

Practice Area Membership. Serving and Retired Officers of army, posted in Delhi/NCR cities and who have not passed the Golf Aptitude Test for grant of Temp Membership of AEPTA will be given Practice Area Membership for three months extendable for a further three months on written request on payment of Rs 1000/- per month. They will be considered for grant of Temp Membership subject to clearing their Golf Aptitude Test held in between the duration of their practice. However, other facilities of the AEPTA can not be availed, except facilities of Coffee-Shop. These facilities can also be availed by Naval Serving/Retired Officers on recommendation of Secretary Naval Golf Club, Naval HQ.
Location Certificate. It is the responsibility of all out station members to render their location certificate as per existing rules of AEPTA in the month of Jan every year for India only. Members above 70 yrs will be exempt from submitting the Location Certificate. Address of foreign country will not be accepted for out station membership/continuation of membership.
Dependent Membership
There are five types of dependent membership as under:-
(a) Dependent (Playing). Dependents of all the members will be given Temp Membership based on the Golf Aptitude Test, who are below 24 years of age and later extended to 25 years vide Para 3 (e) of Min of 27 Apex Body Meeting held on 23 Apr 2016. This would also be renewed every year. The charges will be levied as per the rules.

(b) Dependent Membership (Playing/Practice) Out-Station Members. Dependents of Out-Station members be also permitted for Dependent Playing/Practice Membership at par with In-Station Members.

(c) Membership to Dependents after Crossing the Age of 25 Years. Wards of Defence Officers who have crossed the age of 25 years may be considered for membership upto 30 years of age or till they get married, whichever is earlier on case to case basis on the approval of Chairman. Such membership will be renewed every year on written request alongwith a residence proof of NCR/Delhi. Membership will be given on case to case basis. Having handicap of 15 and below will be given full-week membership. Membership be given after assessing the handicap by playing a round of golf with a member of Management Committee AEPTA.

(d) Playing/Practice Facilities to School/College Going Children (Student). In order to promote the game of golf amongst the School/ College going children upto age of 25 years (Amateur Golfers and participating in the Junior/Sub Junior National Amateur Circuit), and are in the top 10 rankings of IGU. Such players be permitted to play/practice in the AEPTA at concessional rates on weekdays. Such membership are renewable every year subject to producing a certificate from IGU/IGULS to ascertain their ranking at National level. Failure to produce IGU/IGULS certificate at the time of renewal may lead to cancellation of their membership without any notice (Bar facilities are not permitted to this category of members).

(e) Dependent (Non Playing). The spouse & children of the playing member will be issued with the card for identification only. This category will have no playing rights. Card shall be issued after due verification of the dependents (Children not exceeding the age of 25 years) & unmarried dependent daughters on presentation of dependency certificate.

Note :- No dependent membership will be gtd below the age of 08 years.
Widows/War Widows (Non-Golfers) of Defence Service Officers
(a) War Widow. War Widows may be granted membership at service officer rates without any test. The membership will be valid for five years subject to renewal.

(b) Single Spouse Golfers. Widows of golfers (Army Officers only) will be granted membership at service officer rates as long as they do not re-marry, subject to playing golf and passing the Golf Aptitude Test. The concession is applicable only for the residents of NCR and domicile certificate shall have to be submitted each year. The membership will be valid for five years subject to renewal.
(c) Single spouse of Army Serving and Veteran offrs will be granted membership as single spouse members at service offrs rates for two yrs after the demise of the Army serving and veteran offrs.

Hony Membership
Although, grant of Hony Membership was approved in 15th Apex Body Meeting held on 07 Apr 2003 but the same has not been minuted. However, it was ratified vide Para 12 (g) of Min of 18th Apex Body Meeting held on 16 Jun 2005 and subsequently revised vide Para 7th of Min of the 23 Apex Body Meeting held on 30 Apr 2011 as under :-
(a) COAS – Patron-in-Chief
(b) GOC-in-C Western Comd – Patron
(c) Adjutant General – Member
(d) Quarter Master General – Member
(e) Engineer-in-Chief – Member
(f) GOC, Delhi Area – Chairman
(g) Chief of Staff, Delhi Area – Capt of the Course
Dependent Membership (Defence Officers-Non Members)
Incase Service Officer is not a golfer or does not desire to be a member, his spouse and dependent can be granted membership with the following terms & conditions :-
(a) He/She should be a golfer.
(b) He/She has to take Golf Aptitude Test conducted and qualify.
(c) Membership is subject to renewable every year.
(d) Fee structure will be the same as service officers.

Associate Membership
The following categories will be considered for Associate Playing Privilege:-
- Serving golf playing officers of Navy and retired Naval Officers posted
in Delhi/ Gurugram/Noida/G.Noida//Faridabad/Ghaziabad subject to Golf Aptitude Test (Full-Week), based on the recommendation of the Secretary Naval Golf Club, Naval HQ.
(b) Certain Civil Dignitaries/Celebrities/Civil & Govt Officials (Joint Secy and above only) may be given playing privilege subject to approval by the Chairman on case to case basis. This playing privilege will be tenure based only and will not be applicable to retd officials. However, at discretion of Chairman on a case to case basis playing privilege may be granted to retd officials. Similarly outstanding and renowned personalities may also be considered for associate playing privilege.
(c) Civilian MES/DE Offrs. Offrs paid out of Def Estimates will also be allowed to utilize the playing facilities by paying subscriptions at par with defence service rates. These offrs will be granted on tenure base membership only. The membership will be granted for one year extendable on yearly basis subject to proof of posted in Delhi/NCR. No membership is permissible to this category after retirement.

Air Force Offrs. Air Force offrs not to be given membership as the Air Force has their own two golf courses in Delhi/NCR.

PARA Military Forces. No membership will be granted to Para Military Forces eg CRPF, BSF, Assam Rifles serving on deputation with the Army.

Civilian Membership. No membership will be granted to civs.

Foreigner Membership. Foreigners will not be permitted use of the golf course.

Application for Membership
Candidates for Temporary, Associate and others Temporary Membership shall apply to the Honorary Secretary, AEPTA, on the prescribed form. Application of other candidates and all officers shall be considered only if the same has been proposed and seconded by two Permanent/Associate/Temporary members of the course. Each member can propose/second only two applications in one year. Proposer/Secondary member will be required to be personally present to introduce the applicant to the Management during interview as and when called for. Names of dependents, if applicable, will be stated on the application indicating their age. Golfing Aptitude Test will be conducted on 1st Sat of the every month by the Hony Secretary only, if Hony Secretary is not available, the test will be planned/postponed accordingly. No golf test will be conducted for Maj Gen equivalent & above.
Acceptance of Membership
A candidate shall become a member and eligible to use the course only on receipt of the acceptance communication and membership card by him.
Termination of Membership
Membership shall be terminated for any of the following reasons:-
(a) On request from the member.
(b) For non-payment of club fee due for a period of three month or more. The Executive Committee will not be responsible for non-receipt of bills/letters by the members or incorrect addresses or any postal delay. The members will be responsible for updation of their data (incl email id, phone number and address etc). Monthly subscription will be paid regularly. Members can pay advance lump sum amount for the year, to avoid termination of membership.
(c) For misconduct or any act considered prejudicial to good order and mil discipline which affect the smooth functioning of course. Persistent infringement of the Rules and Byelaws of the course will lead to termination of membership.
(d) The Executive Committee may terminate the membership of any member without assigning any reason what so ever. (Names of members whose membership is terminated shall be posted on the notice board).
Re-Acceptance of Membership. On termination of membership, the individual cannot use the course facilities unless his membership is approved afresh. His case may be considered on submission of fresh application with necessary formalities and on return of old membership card. In case of termination of membership due to nonpayment of dues, re-acceptance will call for double the amount of Security Deposit and clearing the outstanding dues. The Executive Committee will consider each case for fresh membership terminated due to non payment of dues on its own merit.
Membership Card. All members will be issued with personalized digital membership card. The same will be chargeable on issue. Application for membership must accompany two copies of coloured photographs. Membership Cards in respect of Members valid upto five yrs and dependent members of one year. Before expiry, members will send a request for renewal their membership.
Loss of Membership Card. Loss of membership card must be intimated to the AEPTA immediately on occurrence. Duplicate membership card will be issued on payment. No credit facility will be available till duplicate card is issued to the member.
Rules for Full Week Membership. All temporary members would be awarded Full Week membership on passing the golf aptitude test.

# Out station membership subscription will be paid each year in advance.
Revival of Membership. In case a suspended member is keen to revive his membership, he can do so on payment of delay payment charges and his total bills on that date. Terminated membership will not be revived. The Offr will have to apply a fresh for membership after clearing all the old dues (if any). In case the membership was terminated due to non payment of bill/dues, the offr will have to deposit double security money.
